Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Kreev application ("App") or visiting kreev.app ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Kreev Informatics Inc. ("Kreev", "we", "our", or "us"), a corporation registered in Alberta, Canada.

2. Service Description

Kreev is a personal health informatics application that reads biometric data from Apple HealthKit (including heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, steps, respiratory rate, and VO2 Max) and produces a daily Recovery Score based on a statistical comparison to your personal rolling baseline using Z-score analysis.

The Service also includes AI-generated wellness narratives powered by Google Gemini, a Stress Index, VO2 Max and Fitness Age tracking, trend analysis, Guardian Alerts, and other features described in the App.

3. Not Medical Advice

Kreev is not a medical device. The Service is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor any disease, disorder, or medical condition.

All Recovery Scores, Stress Index readings, AI narratives, Guardian Alerts, and other outputs from the Service are personal informatics observations based on statistical patterns in your biometric data. They are not medical advice, clinical assessments, or health recommendations.

You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any decisions related to your health, fitness, or medical care. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it based on information provided by Kreev.

4. Algorithm Transparency

Kreev is committed to algorithmic transparency. Your Recovery Score is computed as follows:

• For each biometric signal (HRV, RHR, Sleep, Steps, Respiratory Rate, VO2 Max), Kreev computes your rolling personal baseline using data from the past 7–60 days.
• Each day's metric value is compared to your personal baseline using a Z-score calculation: Z = (today's value − baseline mean) / baseline standard deviation.
• Individual Z-scores are weighted and aggregated into a composite score normalized to a 0–100 scale.
• Scores above 75 indicate high readiness relative to your baseline. Scores below 50 indicate recovery below your personal norm.

5. Accounts & Subscriptions

You must be 18 years of age or older to create a Kreev account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Kreev offers a free tier and a paid Sentinel subscription tier. Subscription billing is managed by RevenueCat and processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. All prices are shown in CAD unless otherwise indicated.

New users receive a 30-day free trial of Sentinel features with no credit card required. At the end of the trial, the account downgrades to the free tier unless a subscription is purchased.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to provide commercial health screening or diagnostic services to third parties
• Share your account credentials with others

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, software, and intellectual property associated with Kreev are owned by Kreev Informatics Inc. or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your health data and personal biometric information remain your property. You grant Kreev a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service as described herein.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Kreev does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that biometric readings from Apple Watch will be accurate. Sensor data accuracy depends on Apple Watch hardware, fit, and environmental conditions beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KREEV SENSOR DYNAMICS INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta, Canada.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and sending an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
